The dedication was wonderful and it was so great to see all the familiar faces in the backyard to help Dana, Howard, Chase, Bryce and Aidan dedicate Tyler's wish come true! The tree house is truly amzing and I loved being there to see all the kids enjoying it. I hear Aidan no longer needs his Auntie Catie helping him with the harness - GOOD JOB!!!

The Sea
I miss my boy who has left for the sea.

Abbey, I haven't met you before. But that poem was probably the sweetest thing I have ever read. Ty was so amazing, and you're right, heaven is like an everlasting vacation with your best friends. That is so sweet! Mr.&Mrs. Scott..I hope you enjoyed your gift. I made one for myself as well and I find myself always looking at it and smiling. I hope you have an awesome time in Flordia, I'll be back from vacation next Sunday and I'm probably going to come by Monday because I still have Chase's present. Just thinking about Tyler.
Missing him more everyday.
I was just thinking about him, and I remembered the last time I saw him. Him and Chase asked me if I was going to buy them candy next Summer whenever they did good in a race, just like I did last Summer. I laughed, and then told them of course.. and then Tyler said "What if I lose, Will you still buy me candy?" So typical of Ty.. always wanting that prize! Well I know Heaven has the best prize there is, Ty. Also, I read in the paper today that a little boy who went to Calvary church who was 6, just recently passed away. I'm sure him and Ty will meet in heaven and play non-stop! Just thought I'd share those things with you. Tyler is always on my mind, and he will be forever.

It was so great to see you guys this weekend (sorry Jesse about the babysitting). I had a blast at the baseball game boys and watching you all hunt for the eggs in the backyard was a treat!

I love reading your memories of Ty! I too think about him everyday and remember all the great things about him! One of my favorites (there are so many) was when I went to visit him after I had moved to Atlanta from Charlotte. In my normal "Auntie Catie has arrived fashion", I honked the horn to let my boys know that I was there. They all came running out and offered to help me with my bags. I was with one of my best friends, Marlo, and Ty was grabbing for my purse. Without missing a beat, he said, "Auntie Catie, I love your new purse! Where did you get it?"
That was my Ty! He was first a workerman, but always in tune to fashion and detail! I see him smiling every morning when I wake up. I truly feel that he is watching over me every single day.
It was so hard for me to go to the cemetary on Easter to see Ty. I wonder every day what he is doing and if he is playing with the young boy that is close by him there. I struggle every day with him being gone.
I am not as eloquent with my words as my young beautiful niece, but have taken from words from many to help me through all of this. A favorite of mine is the serenity prayer, "Lord grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things that I can and the wisdom to know the difference".
A favorite song of mine is "The Dance" by Garth Brooks. In it, he says, "I could have missed the pain, but I'd of had to miss the dance". The dance with Ty was amazing and I will forever and ever cherish the five full years I got to spend with him. He is forever in my heart.
I sincerely hope that you, Jesse, Abbey and everyone that is still reading this blog continue to write. I know it helps me tremendously to read other's memories and share mine. He was everyone's favorite workerman and such a beautiful, warm, loving, +++ little boy. Very few can touch people the way Ty, his brothers, Howard and Dana have.

Thanks for that, this whole website really helps me think back on all the good times with Ty too. It's weird though because my mom and I were talking about him yesterday in the car, and we said how Tyler was like different from any other kid I have met. Like how everyone fought over him.. usually we'd all complain about little kids asking us to carry them, or when they'd ask us to play kickball..but with Ty everyone would like rush to be his partner in a game, or give him hour long piggy back rides, or share their favorite candy with him that they would normally never share, or give up a day of tanning, just so we could be his "favorite" that day. Haha, that still makes me laugh..Ty was so popular he has a different favorite everyday. I remember how exciting it was to be at the pool when he was there because he could make you laugh for hours, or the fact that he was only five, but sometimes I felt like I was talking to one of my friends my age. I remember when Tyler and I won the cutest couple, and for our award we got a Bear that said "Catherine" on it and another bear that said "Tyler" on it. I said, why don't we switch.. you take Catherine and i'll take Tyler. He looked at them both for a few seconds and said no because he was a boy and I was a girl so I should keep the girl and he should keep the boy. I still have my Catherine bear on my shelf in my room. Everytime I visit Ty, I bring it with me to give to him, but I can't seem to give it up. I miss Tyler everyday, and even though I'd give the world to have his awesome hugs this summer.. I know he's here with me everyday, and I guess my bear helps me remember that. Anyways, Thanks to you too, I love reading everyones stories and special memories of Ty.
Auntie Catie and Cathrine those are such touching stories. Ty was a special boy and did have a style for fashion. All those dress up clothes he had. I remember one day i babysat during the day it was Aidan, Ty, Gavin, and Reagan. Ty wanted to dress up. We all took off upstairs and he pulled out a big box. Man i think he had more dress up clothes than i had. He chose what would go good together and handed it out. Aidan of course at that time was SUPERDOG, Ty was the Dad, Reagan the sister, I was the MOM, and Gavin he just changed costumes every 5 minutes. In the end he said you all look great. And we played house.
I haven't had the courage to go see him yet, but once i am ready i will. Yet i know he is right with me and at night i usually talk to him and let him know how i feel.
Mrs. Johnson gave a guardian angel with a sayign that fits my buddy. So at night i know he is over my bed, haivng a ton of fun, not sick, and makign new friends, and touching the other angels hearts.
We all must remember that our time will come and until then we can use the memories that we have and one another to help us with our troubles and then we will see him again. We will pick up where we left off. I will be able to hear his laugh, see his smile, watch him dance to his songs, and i will be able to play in the dirt with him and we won't get in trouble for digging.
I miss him, but i know that he is with us and wants us to "Don't cry for Me down here" as BRAD PASLEY SONG WHEN I GET WHERE I'M GOING says.
I have been writing a lot of poems and free write. I will someday write one on here. Until then I love our stories and link to communicating and next time you stop in town Auntie Catie, hopefully i can stop by and say hey!
Hopefully you might come down over the summer and meet all the pool buddies that Ty and the other boys have.

Isn't is cool how we all have our songs that relate to Ty. I love it. Everytime I hear Kenny Chesneys "Who you'd be today" I just start to cry,"Sunny days seem to hurt the most, I wear the pain like a heavy coat, I feel you everywhere I go. I see your smile, I see your face, I hear you laughin in the rain, still can't believe your gone." but the end gets me every time and I start to smile. The whole song is exactly what I think about when I think about Ty. But then end is so amazing because our memories with Tyler have only begun..the very last line of the song let's you know that "The only thing that gives me hope is I know, I'll see you again someday." And we will see Ty again, and everything will be so great. I have been reading this book called "Soul Matters" and it has different stories of tough times people go through. And bible quotes that seriously make you feel so good. Everytime I read it, I think of Ty. I'm glad I got to spend an entire summer with him. We're all so lucky we have some of those awesome Ty memories in our lives. "Sometimes the skies so blue, I feel like I can talk to you, I know it might sound crazy." I talk to him all the time, and it helps. I love you Mr. & Mrs. Scott, Chase, Bryce, Aidan. I'm always thinking about you guys, and Tyler. And I am ALWAYS praying for you. I Love you very much.

I just got back from Tennese! Man it was so fun, except it poured rain friday night and the bus left us so we haf to run to the hotel in the rain and lightening. I hope all is going well. Hopefully i will be able to stop by tomorrow evening b/c josh has a soccer tournement and they are undefeted so far and i am going to watch since he watched all mine when i was his age.
Aidan on the way home the guy's track started to chant the Lion King characters, Simba, Scar, and then i yelled with them Mufasa(don't know if i spelled it right). Love you all soooooo much!

Hey Scott Boys!
I was so glad to see you for a short time today. Bryce and Aidan it was fun watching you play in the bath tub. The two of you are great water wrestlers. Chase i hope your book report goes well! I liked it! Oh and save me a spot for your next snow cone making Bryce. Sorry i could not stay. At least i know you made it through strong so i am not scared for thursday when i have to have mine. chase, bryce, aidan - love and miss you!!! i hope you're being good boys for your mom and dad!
okay, so i thought of another funny ty story! the little worker man used to LOVE to do my hair when i would come visit. he would say, "auntie catie, can i do your hair?" and i, of course, would absolutely allow it. he would book it upstairs to get his "tools". let me tell you, he used tools! he would grab his water bottle that dana used to calm their morning fly-aways, his brush (usually dana's or he would go through my bags and find mine), his screw driver (to curl it of course), plyors (sorry ty, i don't know how to spell your tools) to cut it (not really though), and what ever else his imagination would run with.
i would sit there on the floor and he would stand on the couch (he was so tiny). he would do my hair and then be kind of enough to always give me a massage after. i would give him his $2 (he thought it was a million) and run and show his brothers who then would want to do my hair, but i could never allow ty's style to be ruined, so i would promise them tomorrow.
just wanted to share another tyism with everyone that reads this.
haha thats so funny auntie caitie!! I love these stories they are so great! This isn't exactly a "Tyism" as ya said.. but it's close. Listen to how cute this is! I was over at Mr.&Mrs. Scotts the other day.. and I brought Rocko over to play with Charlotte and I just hungout with the boys for a few hours. So, me and Bryce were playing around and my prom date called me. Bryce immediatley wanted to talk to him. He talked to him for about 5 minutes. After that he said "Does prom mean youre going to marry him?" I started laughing really. This is where Chase said the cutest thing ever. He goes.."No Bryce, Catherine can have lots of boyfriends but when she gets to heaven her and Ty are gonna get married!" I started to smile. And I just thought that was so sweet!

Those are the cutest storys. Yeah Ty did love doing hair. I remember he got a hold of mine once and oh what a style it was. I'm sure how many tangles i had, but he loved it a whole lot.
Auntie Caite remember New Orleans when we were at the pool and Ty and Aidan got the fishing sets from the aquarium and we played with them. Those little moments are my favorite. I also loved watching him dance with you at the reception.
I remember he did not want to leave. He came to the room crying and screaming and i was like here comes the temper tantrum TY. The only way we calmed him was when he jumped form chases bed to mine and a huge crack sound was made. HE stopped crying and his eyes got big. Both me and chase said Geez Tyler what did you eat to make you weigh so much to break the bed. HE was like " I BROKE IT COOL!" and started his laughing. Hey i was happy he was laughing rather than crying.
There are sooooo many memories from that trip. I even started to write them all down.
The funniest was the car ride back. When the stress and four boys yelling and talking to you in the car for 8 hours let loose. I went crazy and just cried. They all went quiet. MR. SCott had no clue what to do, Bryce gave me his pillow, Aidan ekpt askign are you okay, Chase was just shocked. Ty he was over there trying to keep them from bothering me and just kept making me laugh.
I do not know how MR. and Mrs. Scott handle all those boys, but they have soooooo much patience. I am fine with them, but an 11 hour ride surrounded by them. WHEW THAT WAS AN EXPERIENCE I LOVED!!!!!!!

those stories are too cute! catherine, you and ty will make a beautiful couple!!! jesse, i do remember the wedding and my ty dancing the night away with me and bryce, heather and abbey! i remember the pool too. i couldn't stay long because of the wedding day schedule, but i remember him fishing on people's heads and throwing them so far out that we would all have to fish for them first! i heard about the car ride home too...no worries, i think all of us admire Howard and Dana with their strength and patience!!!
i have to tell you, i miss him everyday! it is not the same knowing he is not here. i know he's with me, i can feel it, but i wish with all my heart and soul that the he would be back in charlotte for me to hug him when i go back.
