Tyler's Treehouse 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run (9/9/06)
We're racin! Tyler's Treehouse is holding its first annual 5K/1-mile Fun Run on Saturday, September 9th. This run will be unlike other "races" in Charlotte, as we want to focus on the family and spending time together. To that end, we will have a "cool down pool party "at Olde Georgetown Pool immediately after the run. We will have more details posted online in Upcoming Events so please check back.

I am so excited about these upcoming events! I know Tyler would be so proud. This is a fabulous way to honor such an amazing child. I think about him everyday still and I keep you all in my prayers as well.

well i can't wait for the run! I am soooooooooooo excited. I am not allowed to touch a golf club, long story. I will need to check on the date.
this sounds so much fun. Boys i had a blast sleeping over. We now know sam is a sleep walker and a good snorer(don't know spelling).

Last night was awesome. I know Ty loved our race for him. Knowing our season is dedicated to him makes it that much more special to be swimming. I'm really glad I got to be part of it! Knowing Tyler was such an awesome thing and I'm so glad I got to have him in my life. I have some funny pictures from last night of Benjamin and Bryce i'll have to get them developed so they can put them up at the pool. By the way that picture of Ty is BEAUTIFUL! He was such a stud!! I Love you so so much and i'm sure I will see you this week at the pool!!

Hey summer has been crazy! I see you all nearly everyday! Monday night dedicating those laps to Ty was awesome. That music pumped aidan up. I could harly hold him across and he was putting his head in and doing some breaststroke.
Bryce i am glad you loved my CARS towel with "mater" on it.

Abbey it has been a blast seeing you all this week. I hope you have had a blast. YOu got to see how crazy those boys are at the pool. Thanks for supporting our swim team. You will need to come back and help me an Aidan on the "rocket ship". We were great dalmations(spelling?).

It was fun hang'n with boys this week. The swim meets were awsome. When Uncle Howard and I were on the way 2 the second meet we were driving on a hill and off in the distance i saw the church were Ty was buried. It looked like a huge, modern castle. It looked so pretty off in the distance. I a church looks that pretty, i wonder what heavans (i can't spell either) like. Ty must be have'n a blast.

Auntie Caitie I thought about Ty today when I hear "The Dance" on the way home from the lake. It made me kind of sad at first, but I remembered how you compared the song to Ty in such a beautiful way and I started smiling. I told my friends about how it relates to Ty and we just started talking about him and it made me happy to think of how lucky we all are for have gotten to know Ty and experience his awesomeness! I love you all so much and not a day goes by that I don't think about Ty and your entire family. I hope you know how truly blessed your family is to have had Ty be part of it.. what a character!! I love you all soo much!! See you soon and Rocko too, promise!!

I miss you guys!! My family and I went to visit Ty. I'm glad to see the cross I put on him is still there. I love you guys and think about you constantly. Hey Scott family. I guess you are on your way home, i heard you were stopping in the mountains. Mrs. Parada told me charlotte was being her crazy self and is teething. As me and Bryce found out last time i was over she loves my rainbows. HA HA! I have missed you all so much. I can't wait to see "SIMBA". Aidan we all have missed you, Sam would ask "when is aidan coming so we can go on the rocket ship?"

Hey Scotts! I know I haven't been around much lately but I want you to know I have been thinking about Ty every single day. It's amazing how at every swim meet you see every little kid, every teenager, every parent with Ty written on their arms. I always wonder if that's hard for you, but then I think about how good it must make you feel to know that you live in a neighborhood with people praying for you and remembering how awesome Ty was everyday! I know he's with us at every swim meet. Everytime Chase, or Bryce jumps off the block.. he's there with them. My friends and I were sitting on our friend Jacksons back porch and we started talking about Tyler, and Lisa..my friends friend that's in heaven now too. And we thought about all the country songs that remind us of them and it was sad, but it felt so amazing to be reminded of how beautiful heaven is and how beautiful Ty is. I really hope you guys have had a good summer, I know it's got to be so hard, but your whole family is so strong and know you always have eachother and all of us and of course God to lean on. I pray for you that every morning is better, and that Ty is watching over you..healing your pain. I love you guys so much and I just wanted you to know that you are always on my mind, and Ty is always in my heart.

Hey Scotts! Tonight was a good night.. the Tyler award was so sweet. Hearing you talk about Ty, Mr. Scott was so sad and so sweet at the same time. It made me sad when you talked about the Best Couple award..but then I started smiling and realized how lucky I was.. I know all the ladies were jealous when I won it with him...hehe. But Tylers Treehouse is awesome for giving Ricky that money! WOW! You guys are soo amazing! Ty would be soo proud of his mom and dad. You guys are great!! Hey Scotts!! I just got back from the bahamas...(no party this year mr scott since i got to go this year!) hehe. Anyways, I was in the airport and I remembered the speech you(Mr.Scott) gave and you said Ty was in the airport and everyone was staring @ him and finally he got up and said "HEY! what are you lookin at!" It made me smile because it goes to show how funny and cute Ty was even in some of the worst situations. Like last summer, when me and my boyfriend broke up and I was sad one day and he noticed because usually I'd talk 2 him a lot and drag him around in the pool but he asked me That was wrong and I told him that i was sad about a boy and he goes "why" and i just said it was nothing. sooo..the next days I came back down to the pool and Ty would usually deny being my "little boyfriend" and he said that he would be my boyfriend now and I didnt need to be sad and I needed to play kickball. haha. Ty is sucha cutie and every now and then I think of funny things he said and did. I just thought I'd let you know I think about him a lot and you guys are forever in my prayers!!!!!

I haven't been on computer in a while. Monday was sooooooooo sweet. I know he was looking down on us happy and thankful for all we do and remembering him. The ballons were amazing to watch. LIke Aidan said, " the ballons are going to heaven to see Tyler and when they pop i think candy will come out." I cannot believe how much he has grown and the way all of Tylers friends and aidan and the rest of them have come to understand what all has happened. IT makes me soooooooo happy.
IT was nice to see everyone and i know he had a great birthday yet we all missed one another. That day me and josh watched Little Enistens(spelling?) and i just thought of him.

I watched this movie today called Simon Birch. It reminded me a lot of you. I don't know what it was about him, his faith and happy spirit, I guess is what reminded me of you. The way he was one of "God's Instruments" as he called himself. And wow..did he played the sweetest song, just like you. Ty...Simon was a hero..just like you. I love and miss you. Hey Scotts!! Summers over, major bummer! But I wanted to tell you I'm doing my research paper on Brainstem Glioma. There's not much information on it so I'm hoping so find some from different families who have had someone in their family have had this awful disease. I was wondering if I could come by sometime this week, or whenever is a good time for you to ask a few questions if that's okay with you. I want to find out about this as much as possible. I will be interviewing Doctors at hostpitals. Emailing St. Judes, and other hostpitals who deal with Brainstem Glioma. I hope to find out as much as possible and hopefully soon enough there will be a cure! If you could just call me on my cellphone 704 6054804 and let me know when I could come by that'd be great. But if not, I just wanted you to know I'll be updating you on new stuff I have found out, although you probably know everything about it. I'm always praying for you and thinking about Ty. I like to visit him every now and then too. I hope to hear from you guys, I haven't seen the boys in a while so that would be cool to see them.
