5K, will begin at 8 AM and the 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk starts at 9 AM. Once the
running is done the fun really begins as you can cool down in the Olde Georgetowne

Thank you for your support of Tyler's Treehouse in 2007. Through your efforts
Tyler's Treehouse provided St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with a $75,000
restricted grant for brainstem glioma research. In less than 20 months, Tyler's
Treehouse has provided St. Jude with $125,000 to support the only research
protocol in the world dedicated to studying brainstem glioma.
In 2008, Tyler's Treehouse will once again host Tyler's Treehouse 5K &
1-Mile Family Walk/Run and Tyler's Treehouse Golf Classic. Please check back
with "Upcoming Events" for more information on these events. Tyler's
Treehouse will also begin accepting credit card donations and purchases via
the website. We hope to have this system in place by the end of the 1st Quarter.
You will also notice that Tyler's Treehouse has its own mailing address. Our
relationship with Brown Brothers Harriman Trust Company had to come to an
end in regards to managing the assets of Tyler's Treehouse as we are pursuing
a research grant with a private foundation that is directly overseen by Brown
Brothers. Tyler's Treehouse hopes to have more information on our success
with this grant in late 2008.
Again, Tyler's Treehouse appreciates your generous support and we look forward
to being able to provide St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with a six-figure
restricted grant in 2008.

August 14, 2007, marks the seventh anniversary of Tyler William Scott
being introduced to the world. Yes, Ty would be 7 today and only a couple of
weeks away from attending 1st grade.
The other day, Dana, the boys, and I were watching video of Ty. We were
laughing and smiling as the video re-confirmed our memories of Tyler being
such a sweet, happy, and fun-loving little boy. We miss him dearly, but have
faith that he is in a place where he is building God a new development in
Heaven.
It has been a year since Tyler passed away. At times it seems like just
yesterday he was laughing and telling us what he was going to build next or
what his next job was. Other times, it seems like Dana and I have lived a
lifetime in 365 days. Tyler is missed with every breath we take.
Tyler's Treehouse has helped keep Ty's spirit alive. Just as he was
helpful with doing yard work or any construction project (no job too small
or big) Tyler's Treehouse is making a difference when it comes to research
on brainstem glioma. Tyler's Treehouse will continue to help researchers at
St. Jude Children's Hospital until they find a cure. We will need your help
and will continue to look for your support in 2007 and beyond.
Tyler's Treehouse wishes you a Happy New Year and appreciates the
wonderful contributions you made in 2006. Tyler's Treehouse raised just over $115,000.00 dollars in 2006. Tyler's
Treehouse provided St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with a
restricted grant of $50,000.00 dollars for brainstem glioma research.

Tyler's Treehouse paid out approximately $10,000.00 to local outreach
programs where Tyler had been involved (including building 2 covered
baseball dugouts for the "Coach Pitch" field at Park Sharon Athletic
Association).
Tyler's Treehouse did reserve funds for 2007 operating expenses as the
Board of Directors has authorized the addition of at least 2 new Tyler's
Treehouse 5K and Family Walks (the city of Charlotte will host its
second 5K and Family Walk the first Saturday after Labor Day).
Tyler's Treehouse will host its second annual Tyler's Treehouse Golf
Classic and Silent Auction in the fall of 2007. Tyler's Treehouse will
provide more information on all the 2007 fundraising activities on the
Events page of tylerstreehouse.org. Please visit the website often for

Again, Tyler's Treehouse appreciates your support and looks forward to
providing St. Jude with a restricted grant of $100,000.00 dollars in

Tyler's Treehouse 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run (9/9/06) We're racin! Tyler's Treehouse is holding its first annual 5K/1-mile Fun Run on Saturday, September 9th. This run will be unlike other "races" in Charlotte, as we want to focus on the family and spending time together. To that end, we will have a "cool down pool party "at Olde Georgetown Pool immediately after the run. We will have more details posted online in Upcoming Events so please check back.

KIDS DAY AMERICA is an event benefiting the Tyler's Treehouse Foundation. This program is dedicated to children's health, safety and environmental awareness. The Charlotte Observer will run a feature length article on Tyler's Treehouse on March 8th. The dedication is scheduled for this Saturday at 1:30 pm if you can make it!
The third day of site construction saw 5 of the 8 walls compete with siding. The complex rafters have been cut and installed and roof sheathing with beadboard ceiling has been started. The majority of the structure should be completed next Saturday with the roofing and railing to follow soon after. The kids are getting very excited.
